Brief Bio

Prof. Dr. Yaroslav Lazur is a Dean of the Faculty of Law of the Uzhhorod National University. He graduated in Law (jurisprudence) (2002).

Work Experience:

• September 2001 - May 2002 - according to the results of the open competition, with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development, was trained in the Secretariat of the First Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the program "Promoting the Parliament of Ukraine";
• May 2002 - November 2002 - Assistant-Consultant of the Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Environmental Policy, Natural Resources and Elimination of the Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster, was the civil service, assigned 7 rank of civil servant, place of work - Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine;
• November 2002 - Assistant-Consultant of the Secretary of the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations, place of work - Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine;
• 2006 to 2007 - part-time assistant-consultant of the Vice-Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Foreign Affairs, Legal Adviser to Beregovo City Mayor;
• February 2006 - October 2011 - Associate Professor of the Department of Commercial Law of the Faculty of Law in Uzhhorod National University, deputy of the Dean of the Faculty of Law of Uzhhorod National University on scientific work and external relations, Deputy Chief Secretary of the Uzhhorod National University Admission Committee, co-consultant in the Law Clinic of Uzhhorod National University;
• October 2011 - July 2013 - Professor of the Department of Commercial Law, Deputy Dean for the academic work of the Law Faculty of Uzhhorod National University;
• July 2013 - December 2013 - incl. Dean of the Faculty of European Law and Law, acting Head of the Department of Administrative, Financial, Information and European Public Law of the Uzhhorod National University
• December 2013 - May 2015 - Dean of the Faculty of European Law, Head of the Department of Administrative, Financial, Information and European Public Law of the Uzhhorod National University;
• May 2015 to present - Dean of the Faculty of Law of Uzhhorod National University.
• March 2022 - Co-chairman of the Legal Aid Center for the people who suffered from military invasion, which has been generated by Faculty of Law of the Uzhhorod National University common with National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine voluntarily and free of charge, and its main function is directed to organizational and advisory support of victims who suffered from military invasion by Russian Federation.

• 2006 - awarded the scientific degree of the candidate of legal sciences on the specialty "constitutional law";
• 2011 - Associate Professor of the Department of Commercial Law;
• 2011 - awarded academic degree of the Doctor of Law in specialty «Administrative Law and Process, Finance Law; Information Law»;
• 2018 - Associate Professor of the Department of Commercial Law.

He is a member of the Scientific Advisory Council under the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Scientific Council under the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, and a member of the Expert Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the examination of theses on legal sciences. The results of scientific-methodical, research and educational work have been published in 128 scientific and educational-methodical works, including 40 works in professional scientific journals, 6 publications in publications included in scientometric databases.

Nowadays, Prof. Yaroslav Lazur is a member of the expert council on the examination of dissertation works of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on legal sciences, a member of the Scientific Advisory Council under the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a member of the organizing committee of the Congress of Representatives of Legal Higher Educational Institutions and Scientific Institutions.

In 2021, he was awarded the Diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for services to the Ukrainian people. Head of the project "Cross-border cooperation of higher education institutions: theoretical and legal foundations".
