Uzhhorod National University belongs to the classic universities of Ukraine and has the highest level of accreditation - IV. UzhNU is one of the largest and best universities in the Carpathian region. It is located on the slopes of the Carpathians, in the wonderful student city of Uzhhorod, the westernmost regional center of Ukraine. The university is young, it was founded in 1945, but in a short period of time it has shown itself worthy in the scientific world, has become a reference point, an alma mater for many generations of students, who are now successfully working both in Ukraine and in other countries of the world. UzhNU has formed powerful scientific schools known far beyond the borders of our country, scientific cooperation is being conducted with many leading universities of the world.
The Faculty of Law of Uzhhorod National University was founded in 1991. Currently it is one of the most prestigious faculties of UzhNU. Educational activity is carried out in the fields of "Law", "International Law" and "Law Enforcement Activities" accredited at the highest "master's" level.
The European League of Law Students ELSA and the International Association of Law Students operate at the faculty, thanks to which students have the opportunity to integrate into the legal academic space. Programs of double diplomas and academic exchanges (in particular, Erasmus+) are being actively implemented. Professors undergo internships at leading European universities, in particular at Charles University (Czech Republic), Lublin Catholic University (Republic of Poland), University of Miskolc (Hungary), University named after John Comenius in Bratislava (Slovakia), Trnava University (Slovakia), Vasilis Goldish Western University in Arad (Romania) and others.
Employees of the faculty are involved in the implementation of programs and projects of fundamental scientific research financed from the State Budget of Ukraine, including "Participation of Ukraine in the formation of global law and protection of national interests (Baltic countries and Central-Eastern Europe)", "Ensuring the implementation of human rights of the fourth generations in the health care system", "Legal regulation of the economic system in the context of globalization: freedom, institutions, procedures, innovations, perspectives", etc. In addition, faculty members were involved in the implementation of international projects - "With cross-border cooperation for the Europeanisation of Ukrainian borders", (Visegrad+ Ea), "Safe and inclusive border between Slovakia and Ukraine" (International project of the EEA and Norway Grants Fund), and others.
