Torino - Italy’s Most Elegant City
In Turin, the capital of the Piedmont region of northwest Italy, sports cars and chocolate are a matter of pride. The city is also home to the Museo Egizio, one of the most impressive collections of Egyptian artefacts in the world. A stroll around Piazza Castello and along the Via Roma encompasses many of the must-see sights. Valentino Park houses an 18th-century castle, botanic garden and medieval village. When you've worked up an appetite, visit a trattoria to sample pasta, regional wines and coffee. Turin is one of our favorite cities in Italy. It’s completely underrated, offbeat, and way less touristy than many other Italian cities like Milan, Venice, Rome among others. The city has been called the Paris of Italy, and you certainly feel that. When you walk through Turin’s grand boulevards, taking in the beautiful historical architecture, old-school tramways and intricately designed churches – it almost feels reminiscent of something that you would see elsewhere in France – but still in a truly Italian way.
