Brief Bio
I have been working as a university lecturer since 1996. Worked as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka for more than 21 years.
Teaching GIS & RS, Physical Geography, Geomorphology, Climatology, Disaster Management and Geography of Sri Lanka are the main interesting subjects of mine. Engaging in soft skills: academic writing skills and teaching and learning methods, development programs are the areas that used to relax.
I have published five books: Mineral and Rocks of Sri Lanka (Handbook and Specimen Box, (2018), Human Resource Development, (2014), Population and Development (2012), Guidelines for Compilation an Essay Type Written Answers, (2010), and Fundamentals of Climatology (2003).
More than 30 articles have been published in national and international journals. I had been an author or member of writing panels of books published by the Ministry of Education in Sri Lanka to provide school children.
