Brief Bio

Dear colleagues! Further I would like to say a few words in order to present myself as the delegate participant for the forthcoming Summer School on “Mountain Ecosystems and Resource Management”. I am a candidate of geographical sciences and associate professor of geography and tourism. In 1998 I graduated from the Faculty of Geography of I. Franko Lviv State University. In 2008 I defended dissertation on the topic "Landscape and recreational potential of the National Nature Park "Synevyr" in the specialty 11.00.01 - physical geography, geophysics and geochemistry of landscapes. In 2002-2015 I worked at the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities.

In 2004 - 2014 – I was the head of the Department of Geography and Tourism. I also worked as an associate professor at the Department of Ecology and Sustainable Nature Management of Rivne State University, as well as at the Department of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Affairs of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management.

I am the Scientific Secretary of the Rivne Department of the Public Organization "Ukrainian Geographical Society", a member of the Scientific Council for Tourism and Resorts of Ukraine, a member of the working and initiative group for the development of materials of the Nobel National Nature Park Project. Candidate for Master of Sports of Ukraine in sports tourism. Participant and leader of scientific and tourist expeditions, sports trips to the Carpathians and other mountain systems of the world. I organized mountain ascents to the peaks: Elbrus (Caucasus, Russia), Laila-Liheli (Caucasus, Georgia), Narodna, Manaraga (Subpolar Urals, Russia), Galhopigen (Scandinavian Mountains, Norway), Mont Blanc (Alps, France) Grossglockner (Alps, Austria), Triglav (Julian Alps, Slovenia) and others.

I was awarded diplomas of the Department of Education of Rivne Regional State Administration, Rivne Small Academy of Sciences, Diploma and badge of Rivne Regional State Administration, Diploma of the first degree of the National Center "Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine" as the winner of the All-Ukrainian competition of research and experimental education. Winner of the Championship of Ukraine in hiking equipment in 2008 (II place), winner of the Championship of Ukraine for the best mountain hiking route of the 5th category of difficulty in 2009 (I place).

I am the author of about a hundred publications, textbooks. Research interests - geography of tourism, landscape and recreational potential of territories, standardization and certification in the field of active tourism.
