Brief Bio

Above all, my goal of scientific activity is the balanced development of the natural ecosystems of the Carpathians and the preservation of forests for my children. For more than 10 years I have been conducting comprehensive research on the development of forest ecosystems in the Ukrainian Carpathians, the results of which have been published in more than 50 scientific papers, including 1 monograph. My dissertation for the degree of PhD in "Forestry" was defended on July 14, 2014. The topic of the dissertation was: "Forestry and ecological features of the formation of Scot pine stands (Pinus sylvestris L.) in the Ukrainian Carpathians."

Since 2014, I have been working in the Hutsulshchyna National Nature Park. I started my career as a laboratory technician, but despite the lowest position, I participated intensively in all possible trainings and workshops. That is why I started scientific natural activity in the implementation of the international scientific project "Preservation of Carpathian virgin forests" as the head of the working group on the identification of virgin forests. The next important step in my career was taking on scientific expeditions to identify virgin forests in all the Carpathians as an expert on virgin forests from the WWF-Ukraine. In total, during the expeditions of our working group, more than 3,000 hectares of virgin forests and old growth forests were identified from 16000 hectares. From 2015 to 2018 I worked as a researcher in the National Nature Park "Hutsulshchyna ". Since 2019, I have been working as the head of the research department at the Hutsulshchyna National Nature Park. In general, today in the field of forest ecology and environmental management, scientists of the scientific department under my leadership are working intensively on optimizing the protected area, identifying priority species and areas for conservation and reproduction, implementing programs for the reproduction of rare species, and implementing conservation measures rare habitats.
