Brief Bio
More than around 12 years, I have been conducting comprehensive research on land use and land cover changes monitoring, simulation and modelling, the results of which have been published in 15 scientific works, including 3 book chapters and as well as supervised 3 Masters thesis, and 10 Master’s project thesis paper. Moreover, currently I am an expertise advisor of mosquito controlling in Chattogram City Corporation (CCC), Bangladesh.
However, I have participated and successfully completed several international and national level training and workshops. Some of them headed Research Data Management, organized by: UNESCO/IOC; IODE; Institute of Oceanography and Environment, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu during 22-26 May 2016, Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia; Marine GIS for Operational Oceanography, organized by: UNESCO/IOC; IODE; and INCOIS-ITCOocean during 18-22 January 2016, Hyderabad, India; Disaster Response Exercise & Exchange 2016, organized by: Ministry of Disaster Management & Relief; Bangladesh Armed Forces Division; U.S. Army Pacific during 26-28 September & 03-06 October, Chittagong, Bangladesh; Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Induction Program, organized by: University of Chittagong, Government People’s Republic of Bangladesh, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, The World Bank; and HEQEP during 19 March 2015, IQAC and CELT, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
My thesis for a PhD degree in Physical Geography in specialty ‘Land cover monitoring and simulation’ was defended on June 22, 2020. The subject of the dissertation was: “Monitoring and Simulation of Land Use and Land Cover changes in the Southeastern Region of Bangladesh ". In May 2021, I was awarded the title of Associate Professor at the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies.
