Brief Bio

Associate professor and Head at the Department of Environmental Law at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University (Ukraine).

Completed his PhD at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University on alienation of land plots for public needs and on public necessity motives. And now he is working on his doctoral dissertation ‘Ecosystem approach in the legal regulation of environmental relations in Ukraine: problems of implementation and realization’.

Currently teaches the course on Environmental Law of Ukraine and supervises the scientific work of students.

Co-author of collective monograph, several text books and study guides on various legal issues of environmental protection, author of more than 20 articles on legal aspects of land alienation and implementation of the ecosystem approach, and about 60 conference papers.

Active participant and organizer of numerous Ukrainian and international conferences.

Member of the editorial board of the following international scientific journals: ‘Journal of Environmental Law and Policy’ (Canada), ‘Administrative and Environmental Law Review’ (Indonesia), ‘Environmental Law’ (Ukraine).
