Brief Bio
Having 41 years of teaching experience along with college administration of 10 years. HE worked on pesticidal toxicology for his doctoral degree and working on Herpetology (Taxonomy, ecology) since 1995. He has published more than 75 research articles in National and international Journals. He also authored five books and contributed chapters in many textbooks. He is member of SSC-IUCN Amphibian and Reptile Group. He described five new species of amphibian and a species of reptile, and a frog is named after him (Minervarya sengupti) in recognition of his contribution in the field of herpetology in Northeast India.
