Brief Bio

I am Candidate of Biological Sciences with the international expertise of Hutsul horse breed. From the first days of the Hutsulshchyna National Park's foundation, Iheld the position as the Deputy Director of the Research work. The scientific activity of the Park is aimed at the development of nature conservation recommendations, environmental monitoring, conservation and reproduction of rare species of biodiversity, historical and cultural heritage, environmental advocacy. There are 5 Candidates of Sciences in our organization. We are currently working over four dissertation works. More than 15 diploma works have already been done. Since April 2019,I was appointed as the Director of National Nature Park of Hutsulshchyna.

Over 25 years, I have been actively solving the problem of conservation and reproduction of the breed of Hutsul horses, other native species and wild animals. During 2003-2012 I implemented international projects for conservation of the native species and biodiversity with the support ofthe International Charitable Foundation "Heifer Project International" and "PAUCI".

I am the author of more than 90 scientific articles, 57 of which have been written while working at NNP, including one author's monograph and 5 collective papers.

I am an active participant in the public and social life of the region.I am the head of the Kosiv District Organization of the All-Ukrainian community “Hutsulshchyna”,a co-head of the regional non-governmental organization “Heritage of Hutsulshchyna”, the chairman of the Kosiv District Separate Unit of the National Ecological Center of Ukraine, member of the Club of the Intellectuals named after Igor Pelypeiko.

I was repeatedly awarded with the certificate and gratitudes, particularly in 2015. I got the Order of the Patriot of Ukraine for the significant contribution, development and preservation of the Hutsul cultural attributes.
