Anke Weisheit (MSc) is an Agricultural Engineer, with more than 16 years of experience in tropical agriculture, value chain development and agri-business in Eastern and Southern Africa. Currently, she is a Co-founder and Chair Innovation and Business Management of the Pharm-Biotechnology and Traditional Medicine Centre (PHARMBIOTRAC) at the Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Mbarara, Uganda. Anke is also an External Expert to the European Commission Horizon 2020 and a Co-founder and Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Agribusiness Incubation Alliance of Uganda. Previously she served on the Board of Trusties of THETA Uganda as the Chairperson Programmes and Research Committee and the Uganda Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (UFAAS) board as a founding team member. She has also researched and consulted for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Bank, World Health Organization (WHO), World Agroforestry Centre, and German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) among others.
