Dr. Ibrahim Kaleel is an Agricultural Engineer with a specialization Soil and Water Engineering received bachelor’s degree (Agricultural Engineering) from UAS, Dharwad and Masters and Doctoral Degree (Soil and Water Engineering) from College of Agricultural Engineering, UAS Raichur, Karnataka, India. Also completed post graduate diploma in Geospatial Technology Applications in Rural Development from NIRD, Hyderabad, India. He is a life member of Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE), New Delhi, India and Knowledge Innovation and Agricultural Science Network (KISAN), Meghalaya, India.
He mainly worked on watershed planning and management aspects using geospatial technologies and developed a standalone software and SDSS on watershed management and planning. He is a tech-savvy having sound knowledge on Data base management system, AutoCAD, GIS based modelling and Remote sensing. He received many awards from reputed organisation of the country namely Moulana Azad National Fellowship Award, Dr. Ambedkar National Merit Award, Young Scientist Award, Star Performer Award etc.
He also having an overseas experience visited London School of Economics, Oxford University, UK parliament, United Kingdom and attended international conference at Dubai, UAE. Dr. Kaleel undergone nearly 20 professional national and international training programmes from reputed institutions like ICRISAT, ISRO-NRSC, NBSS&LUP, CRIDA, UN, UNCCD, WORLD BANK, etc.,
Dr. Kaleel having 35 publications in the form of national and international research articles, conference papers, abstracts, popular articles, book chapters and manuals in reputed journals and also serving as a full-time reviewer for International Journal of Plant & Soil Science and International Journal of Environment and Climate Change.
Dr. Kaleel having more than 6 years of professional experience as a Senior Research Fellow, Research Associate, Teaching Associate, Assistant Professor and Scientist. He coordinated and organized national, international conferences, training programmes and actively involved in teaching, extension and research activities pertaining to watershed management, dry land agriculture, precision farming, hi-tech agriculture, protected cultivation, water management, drainage engineering, micro irrigation and climate change etc.
