Dr. Beckline Mukete is the Founder & Operations Manager, Agrosystems Group, and Guest Lecturer, College of Ecology and Environment, Ningxia University, Helanshan, China. For his ground-breaking studies in forestry, climate change and rural livelihoods, Dr. Mukete won the Beijing Forestry University Outstanding Postgraduate Researcher Award in 2016.
In 2017, he received the Chinese Government Outstanding International Researcher Award. Dr. Mukete is a Full Member of the British Ecological Society, a Member of the IUCN Commission on Ecosystems Management, a Member of the Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment, a Member of the International Association of Ecology, a Member of the African Forest Forum, a Member of the Global Land Programme, a Member of the Ecological Civilization Network, a Technical advisor to Community Service for Environmental Protection, a General Editor of Applied Ecology and Forestry Science, a scientific reviewer for several peer reviewed journals including Springer Nature Environmental Earth Sciences, Global Change Biology, Springer Nature Applied Sciences, Small Scale Forestry, Agroforestry Systems, Journal of Mountain Sciences, Applied Ecology and Environmental Science, Agriculture, Ecosystems and Environment, GeoJournal, Journal of Ecology and the Natural Environment, Applied Ecology and Forestry Science.
Dr. Mukete also served as a Proposal Reviewer of the SOD of the Working Group 2 (Specifically Chapter 5: Coastal Systems and Low-lying Areas) contribution to the Fifth Assessment Report of the IPCC for the Dutch Government and supervised by the Netherlands Environmental Agency (PBL) and proposals submitted to the IUCN World Conservation Congress, Marseille 2021.
Dr. Mukete has published numerous scientific research papers that have been presented in several international conferences.
