Valerie Braun has a PhD in eco-physiology of alpine plants. In 2008, she has started to work at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Mountain Research and has been part of projects on mountain protected areas and networking activities in the Alpine scientific community. She is also co-editor of eco.mont.
