ECOVAST Hungary – Council for the Village and Small Town
The association works for the development of Hungarian regions, settlements, and rural areas. The association works for the implementation of the international ECOVAST objectives in Hungary, i.e. the protection of the built, natural and landscape environment, the environmentally conscious development of rural settlements, the development of rural tourism, integrated and sustainable rural development, and plays an intermediary role between European and Hungarian spatial and rural policy.
The association aims to provide an example and an opportunity for local action, to contribute to the development of democratic attitudes and tolerance, to improve relations between individuals and organisations, to create intergenerational knowledge and experience sharing, cooperation and support for disadvantaged young people. The members of the association play a wide-ranging role in disseminating information and are committed to indirectly influencing professional and political decision-making processes on specific issues and to participating in the integration of professional and administrative activities.
